I'm glad that we share the same view in the 5 points you outlined contrary to most people's perceptions that Chinese is 'the most difficult' language to learn. Fullstop.

As a 1st generation Australian Chinese with a strong sense of Chinese heritage instilled, (with my mother being a Chinese language cultural ars teacher plus my father being a Chinese calligrapher), I feel dismayed that we have a lot of people wanting to learn but most leaving because of this misconception or irrelevant teaching styles.
